I love a good mimosa (probably the only reason I even like brunch). I made a mean mimosa for a friend the other day and we were both buzzed after about 2 glasses. Mimosas are awesome because they're so easy to make. It only takes two ingredients and you don't even have to stir. This is the easiest holiday recipe I could possibly share with you guys.
Since Thanksgiving is coming up, I wanted to give you guys a new recipe with a Fall twist. Today I also shared how to make an Apple Pie Sangria and now I'm sharing this easy 2 ingredient Apple Cider Mimosa. This drink is perfect for any Friendsgiving brunch. So if you've got apple cider and a good cheap champagne, let the good times roll!
Apple Cider Mimosas
- 3 ounces apple cider
- 3 ounces champagne
- Brown sugar and apple slices for garnish, optional
- Pour the apple cider into a champagne flute, followed by the champagne. Serve immediately!
If you’d like to rim and garnish the drink, take a thin apple slice (that has been treated with either lemon juice or fruit preserver to prevent browning), and make a 1/2″ slice in the middle. Slide the apple slice onto the rim of the glass, and run around rim to dampen. Remove the apple slice, then dip the rim of the glass in a shallow bowl of brown sugar. Place the apple slice back on the edge of the glass, then fill with drink.
